Iftar 2009
This year's Ramadan we want to meet for fast-breaking with you.
Our first Iftar will be on Monday, August 24 around 8.15pm in the University's Westend - Everybody is welcome!
Please bring some food you would have prepared anyways to share it with your brothers and sisters and don't forget cutlery and drinks.
We'd be happy to break fast with you. See you around!
Upcoming and recent activities
Regular activities
Every other Tuesday (within lecture period), DMS is present in the university main hall from 12pm - 2pm with a stand providing information and books. Away from the opportunity to dialog, this shall be a platform for members to meet. Furthermore literature and other media are being offered.
Activities carried out so far
We organized numerous events with partly high-profile contribution in the past. Among others there have been lectures on the issues of globalization [52 KB]
,democracy from a Muslim perspective, as well as an in-focus-week [255 KB]
, titled "Wieviel Frau verträgt der Islam" ("How much feminity can Islam take?").
DMS also took a stand publicly on tuition fees [19 KB]
, formed a soccer team and arranged a charity event for the victims of earth quakes...
